On Trumpet

Nathan Day - 2nd Trumpet, of Kensington, also plays the French Horn and Flugelhorn. He has performed with the Seacoast Wind Ensemble, the Merrimack Community Concert Band / Jazz Ensemble and the Boston Crusaders Jr./ Sr. Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Day is employed at General Dynamics C4 Systems.

David Lafond - 4th Trumpet, of Manchester, NH.  (not pictured) As a native of Keene, NH, played in the Keene High Jazz, Concert & Marching bands, and as an alumnus of Keene State College he performed in the Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band & Percussion Ensemble while there.  While at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, he studied under Ray Kotwicka, Lou Mucci and performed in the Back Bay Brass Jazz Ensemble under the leadership of Ben Elkins.  In addition, David has 23+ years of experience performing in drum & bugle corps, some of which include the Boston Crusaders Jr. & Sr and the 27th Lancers Alumni.  Currently he teaches and performs with the Manchester Muchachos Sr. Drum & Bugle corps.  David is a Lead Data Analyst in the Actuarial Services Department at Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield in Manchester, NH.

Stan Whitlock - Lead Trumpet, of Merrimack, plays E-flat cornet with the New England Brass Band and was the principal trumpet player for the Metropolitan Wind Symphony. He has played with the Merrimack Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Chorus. In addition to playing trumpet, Stan sings in the BBB vocal quartet.  Mr. Whitlock is a Software Consulting Engineer at Intel Corporation.

Terry Beaulieu - 3rd Trumpet, of Amherst, has played in a number of ensembles including the Hingham Civic Orchestra, Merrimack Community Jazz Ensemble and the Southeastern Philharmonic Orchestra. His other interests include playing the guitar as well as coaching soccer, basketball & baseball.   In addition to playing trumpet, Terry sings in the BBB vocal quartet.  Mr. Beaulieu is a Software Developer at Fidelity Investments.

Fred Wilkie - 5th Trumpet, of Hudson, also enjoys playing the cornet and flugelhorn. A self-taught musician, he’s been playing music for 60 years with groups like the USS Pasadena Big Band and the U.S. Air Force Swing Band. Currently he plays in the Hollis Dixieland Jazz Band, Townsend Military Band and the American Legion Post 48 Jazz Band. He is an alumna of the Indiana Institute of Technology.  Mr. Wilkie is a retired professional engineer.
